Supported Platforms
A Primary Platform is a preferred platform for supported releases of Kolab. All releases for these platforms are maintained for the full time of extended support and security updates until the platform itself is declared End Of Life (EOL) by its provider.
A Secondary Platform is a platform that is under active, ongoing support for Kolab. Releases for these platforms arrive one quarter after releases for the Primary Platforms. All releases for these platforms are maintained for the full time of extended support and security updates until there is a new major release of this platform by its provider.
When the platform provider releases a new major version, you will need to update to their most recent version within a grace period of half a year. If your current version of Kolab is not available for the new major release, you will also need to update your version of Kolab in order to remain within support.
A Tertiary Platform is a platform for which support is available only through third party agreement or explicit contract. Where sufficient customer commitment exists, Tertiary Platforms may be promoted to Secondary Platforms.
The Kolab server is available and certified for the OpenPOWER based IBM Power9, as well as for Intel x86 based hardware for primary and secondary platforms as far as these are certified for the hardware.
